Andy Bindman is Professor of Medicine, Health Policy, Epidemiology & Biostatistics, at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). He is also the Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine at UCSF's affiliated San Francisco General Hospital and Director of the University of California Medical Research Institute. Dr. Bindman has published more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles on access to primary medical care, health outcomes associated with barriers to primary care, and the evolving role of primary care physicians and safety net providers in US health care system. Dr. Bindman has practiced and taught primary care at San Francisco General Hospital and its affiliated clinics for more than 20 years.
